Dave and Elsie meant a whole lot to my family and me. Growing up and seeing them in church was such a testimony to their faith and the love they had for God. The love they had for family and friends was just so strong too. They would send my sister and me birthday cards and Christmas gifts throughout the years. They didn't have to but they wanted to. They were more than just good friends, they were family in the words that they shared and the love that they showed. I still have a Bible they gave me for my confirmation. They were a part of our confirmations and many graduations. Even after Elsie went to be with the Lord, I would make it a point to find Dave at church when I was home to see how he was doing. When I was ordained, he was among those in the congregation that day. Just precious, precious people. God-fearing. Role models. Praise God for their lives!
 Thoughts and prayers go out to Brian and to the family, extended family, the St. Paul's family and to neighbors and friends.

David ate with us at Decatur Caterpillar Lunch for many years.  He always called me the night before to reserve his seat.  He was a very nice man and he will be greatly missed by his Cat family and I am sure by all his buddies.
